Supervisor Development Programme - Level 2
Many organisations promote supervisors from within the organisation purely on the basis of their job related skills, and without any consideration for the wide range of management skills that are essential to be a supervisor. Supervisors need to be able to lead, delegate, communicate, motivate and build teams. These are not skills which we have or have not; they are skills that need to be learnt.
The SDP is a development programme for first line management that introduces tasks within planning, leading, organizing and controlling responsibilities of the supervisor.
